The Cabramatta Moon Festival is back in 2025—and this year marks its 25th anniversary! Known as one of the biggest cultural celebrations in Sydney, the festival brings together more than 90,000 visitors each year for food, music, lion dances, and community spirit.
For over 15 years, we at Hai Ha Money Transfer & Foreign Exchange have proudly joined the Cabramatta Moon Festival to celebrate with the community we serve. And this year, we’re making it even more exciting—with $0 fees on money transfers and a chance to win prizes worth up to $8,000*!
This year’s Cabramatta Moon Festival is extra special. Not only does it mark the 25th anniversary of the event, but it will also host the first-ever National Lion Dance Competition in Australia. Visitors can look forward to breathtaking performances, vibrant energy, and a program that combines both tradition and new experiences, making this year’s Moon Festival one to remember.

On Sunday, 28 September 2025, customers visiting our Hai Ha Cabramatta store can send money to any country for $0 fees*, as our way of saying thank you for trusting us with their money transfer and foreign exchange needs. It is our pleasure to support the local community to send money to their loved ones, with fee-free transfers* making life easier for families across the globe.
What’s a festival without games? This year, at our Moon Festival stall located right in front of Hai Ha Cabramatta, customers can participate in our fun games for a chance to win great prizes which make up to a total value of $8,000 AUD.
After obtaining the game cards, players compete in rounds which are written on their card. The game host will draw numbered balls from the cage, calling out the numbers of each draw and writing the numbers on a whiteboard. According to the announced numbers, players check and mark on their game cards if they have those numbers.
The game host will keep announcing random numbers, and players continue to circle the numbers on the matching square of their game card each time one is called. The goal is to get five numbers in a row. The host will continue to draw numbers until a player wins.
As soon as a player gets four numbers in a row, they must let the host know by shouting “four-in-a-row!” so that they can list them on the whiteboard. The first three players to have four numbers in a row will win our lucky minor prizes – delicious mooncake boxes for the mid-autumn celebration.
Once a player gets five numbers in a row, they must shout out “five-in-a-row!” to let everyone know they’ve won. If more than one player calls out on the same turn, all of those players are declared winners. The winner draws a lot to receive one of the major prizes. Major prize winners cannot claim minor prizes.
And if luck’s not on your side? Don’t worry—there are still freebies at our stall, including cups, bottles, and tote bags for visitors (available on a first come, first serve basis).
The event buzzed with lively stalls, cultural performances, and the energy of over 90,000 visitors from across Sydney. From traditional lion dances to glowing lanterns, families and friends came together to celebrate cultural heritage, community, and connection.

*To join our game, the customer must show the receipt made at Hai Ha Cabramatta on 28/09/2025 and be a follower on our Facebook or Instagram.
